Far away closer: Canon Extender EF 1.4x III. The Canon Extender EF 1.4x III is one of the two Canon teleconverters. The other is the Extender EF 2x III. Both extend the focal length of any lens that can be used with the converters. The 1.4x does that with a factor of 1.4; the 2x, with a factor of 2. Canon Extender EF 2X III is designed for select Canon L-series telephoto lenses to improve shooting performance. This extender is EF mount compatible. It is the perfect device for extending the focal length of the lens by 2x. Even though you can achieve your desired focal length extension, you need not worry about the image quality compromise The Kenko's are not as sharp as Canon's. You can stack the EF 2x II with any Canon EF teleconverter. So you can stack as many EF 2x II on top of each other all you like. The EF 300/2.8 L holds up reasonably well with the EF 1.4x III and EF 2x II. I found with the EF 500/4.5 L I got very similar results with the stack as with just the 2x.Sample Images: Canon 2X Extender EF III. (All images copyright Photography Online, Inc.) Designed as a lightweight and affordable extreme telephoto prime for Canon RF-mount shooters, the Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM is a versatile lens for casual wildlife and general photography. If 600mm isn't enough for you, it can be paired with Canon's new 2X extender for RF to become a very portable (and very slow) 1200mm F22. FwA7MD. 28 184 14 25 345 315 363 110 137
